PILE. The indisputable hereos of Boston's burgeoning indie rock scene hardly need an introduction. The band's name speaks volumes to most, and to the rest... it soon will. Earning the reputation of "your favorite band's favorite band," the quartet (Rick Maguire, Kris Kuss, Matt Connery, and Matt Becker) have been setting the DIY indie punk scene ablaze since 2009, developing a unanimously praised back catalog in the process and a legion of diehard fans throughout the entire country and abroad. The band have toured heavily over the years, playing all ages venues and basements in the spirit of DIY culture with peers Speedy Ortiz, Big Ups, LVL UP, Two Inch Astronaut, Krill, etc. as well as support shows with bands like Obits, Ex Hex, and Metz.

The much buzzed about Palehound has returned with a brand new single and an expanded line-up, shifting the solo project to a quartet. The band, Ellen Kempner (vocals/guitar), Thom Lombardi (bass/backing vox), Ben Scherer (guitar/backing vox), and Max Kupperberg (drums) formed during the fall of 2013, expanding on the sound of last year’s Bent Nail EP with stunning dynamics and a heavier tone. Wasting no time, the quartet began playing a whirlwind of tight, jaw-dropping shows throughout the East Coast, quickly establishing Palehound as one of the best up-and-coming bands during the CMJ Music Marathon and throughout Brooklyn’s DIY community. Nearly 50+ shows later, the band will release Kitchen 7" (Holiest b/w Pay No Mind), the first recorded output from the full band, an impressive statement in the evolution of Palehound.

Shore Acres Drive began in 2013, when Charlie Fraioli started uploading his acoustic demos to bandcamp. He was initially timid about performing live, but eventually debuted his stripped down arrangements of indie/punk at the Ithaca Underground stage of Ithaca Festival in 2014. That show got him hooked on performing, and he soon became a regular opener at IU shows. By the end of the year, James Manton (bass/vocals) and Jake Burchard (drums) had joined the group and released their debut EP, Middle of Nowhere.
